Supporting WRI’s initiatives
The Warner Research Institute (WRI) is an ACNC-registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and a Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisation. This status entitles donors to claim a 100% tax deduction on their contributions.
Why research matters
Human progress has always been built on research. Every breakthrough that shaped the way we live today began as an idea, nurtured through decades of persistence and discovery.
Steam power in the 1750s reshaped the electricity industry and electricity, which was first harnessed in the 1880s, continues to evolve more than 150 years on. Even today’s renewable energy sources are part of a journey that has taken generations.
Real innovation takes time – often decades. But we no longer have the luxury of time. Within the next 50 years, we must transform the way we use energy and materials if we are to protect our planet and sustain our quality of life.
Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing may accelerate discovery, but building the systems and infrastructure humanity needs will still take years of dedicated effort. That’s why investing in research now is critical.
Supporting WRI’s initiatives
WRI is committed to funding research exclusively through accredited Bonafide Research Organisations (BROs). In accordance with our policy, 85% of all donations are allocated directly to BRO-led research projects.
If you are considering supporting WRI’s research initiatives, please contact us at [email protected] to request a Donation Form.
We will provide a short pro-forma for you to complete, along with our bank account details for making your donation. If you have any questions, feel free to submit them in the designated section of the form – we’re happy to assist.
Upon receipt of your donation, you will receive an official donation receipt, which can be submitted with your next tax return to claim the full deduction. Additionally, donors who wish to become Associate members of WRI will receive an annual report and regular updates on the progress of individual research projects at key milestones.
The main WRI Objectives are the following:
- Optimise the ongoing reuse of material resources of durable and non-durable consumer
goods. - Reduce energy use whilst maintaining and/or improving the standard of living without further degradation to the natural environment.
