Innovating for a sustainable future
The Warner Research Institute is driven by a single purpose: to foster technologies that create a cleaner, safer and more equitable world.

Purpose-driven research
Focusing on solutions that rethink how we use energy and materials. WRI is committed to exploring ways to protect our planet without compromising quality of life.

Smarter resource use
Waste less, reuse more. We prioritise research that enables materials to be used more efficiently, ensuring durability and reducing environmental degradation.

A vision for the future
Change happens when communities are involved. We collaborate with researchers and institutions to empower Australians to engage in research that matters.
Investing in research
Vision requires action
Globally, we continue to seek more ways to improve our standard of living and reduce the impact that it has on our planet.
Producing cleaner “renewable” forms of energy is to be applauded. However, we are demanding more and more energy. Alternatively, we could find ways of reducing our energy needs by developing smarter processes and products using the materials already at hand. Designing products that can be de-constructed and re-constructed using the same materials infinitely will save embodied energy in the present materials use, which are lost or otherwise wasted.

Our planet deserves more than just progress
